At stops in Toronto, Vancouver and Montréal, headmaster mustard sommelier, Harry Lalousis demonstrated simple ways to incorporate mustard into meals, resulting in flavours that are anything but! Assisted by chef Jonathan Garnier at Montreal’s Yul Eat festival, the two hosted different culinary workshops on sauces and dips; marinades and glazes; and vinaigrettes while imparting the skills, tips, and tricks necessary to elevate everyday dishes into haute casual meals. Visitors also had the opportunity to make their own flavoured mustards using fresh ingredients for $2, experiencing different tasting notes that they can use to further customize their go-to recipes. From June 23 to 26, Torontonians had the chance to visit the Maille Flavour Studio at one of the city’s biggest foodie events. Watch a recap video below:
On August 20th, the Maille Flavour Studio welcomed Vancouver’s media and special guests at a kick-off event at Canada’s largest food truck festival, featuring four dishes created with Maille mustards and our signature Que ça Maille cocktail. Celebrating Labor Day weekend in Montreal from September 3 to 5, YUL EAT received over 140,000 people in three days for the last stop of the Flavour Studio’s Canadian tour. Click on an image below to start the gallery.
From September 5 to 7, more than 20,000 people visited the Maille Bistro at the YUL EAT Festival in Montreal. The Bistro served more than 18,000 cocktails and 10,000 macarons to festival goers as well as sampled thousands of jars of Maille mustard at its complementary mustard bar.

On Sunday, July 12, over 6,500 Torontonians joined the Consulate General of France and Maille to celebrate Toronto Bastille Day. The event was Maille International’s largest event ever! In true Parisian spirit, guests were invited to picnic on the grass and explore the world of La Maison Maille at the Maille Bistro. The Maille Bistro offered complementary mustard-based cocktails, sweet and savoury macarons and mini sandwiches prepared by a local French chef. The Maille Bistro also featured a complete mustard bar with delectable mustards that guests could use to enhance their lunch, as well as a pop-up shop showcasing Maille’s gourmet line-up, including freshly pumped Chablis mustard.
